Square vs. Landscape Videos on Social Media

On platforms like Instagram (with over 800 million users) and Facebook (with over one BILLION -- yea, BILLION with a B -- users) square videos take up 78% more real estate in a person's mobile newsfeed than a traditional landscape (16:9) video. Not only do they take up more of the viewers mobile device screen, but they result in 30-35% higher video views and an 80-100% increase in engagement. As if that wasn't enough, they also cost advertisers 33% less on average to get someone to engage with them on Instagram. So that only leaves one question.... what format are your social media videos in?!?!
